Special Post for January 2nd, 2009

Dear family and friends. Thank you all for following our journey through these difficult times. Although I've been metering out the story slowly, I have to interject at this time that I just found today that I have been accepted into the clinical trial. This is the best news that we received to date and the sole reason that we came to Chicago. More details will follow but we are elated.

  2. Dear Philip:

We are so happy to hear the news. They are doing wonderful things with the clinical trials and hopefully you will be one of the cures or, at the very least, a very, very long remission!

    Love,

  5. Phil,

Glad to hear the great news of acceptance into a clinical trial. I pray for a medical miracle for you as I have witnessed some with my uncle with pancreatic cancer and a friend with GBM. Be positive and enjoy everyday.

You and Patti are in my prayers everyday.

    Love,
    Ellen

    PS
Your friend Bob is slowly earning his computer wings. I bought him a laptop for Christmas and he is plugging along. He is concerned about you and will be checking your blog tomorrow (now that he knows how to access it)

  6. Dear Phil,

I just finished reading your entire blog and feel caught up at last. I am very, very happy that you were selected for this trial. It looks like an extremely good one. Remember that this is coming from a long-time believer in the values of protein therapeutics, especially in combination therapies. I look forward to reading about good results very soon. Best wishes and Aloha.

P.S. I found that I had to create a blog to post a comment, so I now have. No point in going there as it is completely blank. If I get anything up on it, I'll let you know
